How we keep the figures right

Every allowance, limit, age and date used on the free calculators is kept in one place: the ISA rules page. Each rule shows the gov.uk page it comes from and the date it was last checked, so you can see where a figure comes from. When a rule changes, it is changed there once and every calculator and guide that uses it follows.

What the site does and does not cover

  • It explains how UK ISAs work: allowances, Cash, Stocks and Shares, Lifetime and Junior ISAs, transfers, withdrawals and tax on interest. See the guides by topic and the ISA glossary.
  • It lets you try your own figures in the free calculators. Results are illustrations from the numbers you enter, not forecasts.
  • It does not tell you which ISA, provider or product to choose, and it does not give tax, investment or financial advice.
